gebr.silvestri is a Amsterdam-based design studio. We – Adrian Silvestri-Chyle and Stefan Silvestri – work as art directors and designers in two and three dimensions. We produce visual solutions in media ranging from print to online to 3D. Our projects range from brand identities and books through products to exhibition and stage design.
Following our five-year training in two- and three-dimensional design at Schule für Gestaltung St. Gallen and at Globus in St. Gallen in our native Switzerland, we both studied graphic design at Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Our design studio gebr.silvestri has been in business since 1994.
We have been giving workshops in typography and the language of images at Merz Akademie in Stuttgart since 1996 and teaching at Design Academy Eindhoven since 2004. In the past we gave workshops at Ecole des Beaux Arts in Mulhouse (1998–1999) and we taught at St Joost Akademie in Breda (2002–2004).

2018Collection brochure
Longbarn Company offers exclusive qualities in luxurious textures, creating unique and rugs for a range of high-end customers. Designed and manufactured in the Netherlands, all Longbarn rugs are tufted in the finest yarns spun from natural fibres such as silk, eucalyptus, wool, cotton and mohair.
For its 2018 collection, the company commissioned us to create a collection brochure. To convey the textural beauty of the purely natural materials on the cover, we produced a simple image of a cord of natural white cotton yarn against a white background, including a thin shadow. To create an even more tactile and spatial experience, we embossed the image of the cord. Inside the brochure, we continued the same art-direction concept, based on the natural quality of the yarns. Along with images of their pure materials, we also included samples of the rugs featured.
The 24-page booklet is printed on Munken Premium White 150 GSM paper and stitched into a softcover (made of the same paper in 300 GSM), which folds out in both the front and the back.
